Project:
For the overall project "Development of a textile emergency system as a protective measure for cultural assets in the event of a disaster (TexNot)", requirements are being assessed, and a prototype evaluated.
As part of the project, a textile emergency system is being developed to help protect irreplaceable cultural assets from fire, water and smoke in the event of damage. In the development of the customised, flexible and additive system, the sub-project supervised by the Museum Burg Mylau is concerned with the requirements for a prototype to be installed on site. Conservation, aesthetic and maintenance factors are taken into account when formulating, assessing and, if necessary, adapting the framework conditions. The requirements of the cultural assets, fire protection, the historical building stock and existing evacuation plans must also be taken into account.
"TexNot" is a research project of the pilot project "Vogtlandpioniere", which is coordinated by the industrial research institution INNOVENT e.V. and funded as part of the "WIR! - Wandel durch Innovation in der Region" programme of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The aim of the funding programme is to strengthen the innovative capacity within economically underdeveloped regions in order to secure long-term value creation and employment there.
