The overall aim of the "preserve4future" project is to develop an innovative concept for the practical training of restorers and monument conservators.
Project duration:
1. Juli 2023 until 30. Juni 2024
Project
The concept combines the settlement of future specialists in Vogtland, the connection of research institutions, training centres, business, owners of historic buildings and administrations in an international network.
The planned project will analyse findings from training processes and, building on this, further develop and combine them in an innovative qualification strategy for young academics.
The main aim of the planned project is to develop an organisational structure for a network of international and local stakeholders that will provide sustainable and viable practical training at locations in the Vogtland region.
"preserve4future" is a research project of the pilot project "Vogtlandpioniere", which is coordinated by the industrial research institution INNOVENT e.V. and funded as part of the "WIR! - Wandel durch Innovation in der Region" programme of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The aim of the funding programme is to strengthen the innovative capacity within economically underdeveloped regions in order to secure long-term value creation and employment there.
